Lee Adams
As a junior at KU in 1967, Lee Adams, along with teammate J.W. Johnson, each broke the 60-yard hurdle world record in the same race. Both ran 6.6 seconds in a 1967 Kansas Federation meet in Lawrence, Adams winning in a photo finish. The time broke the record held by teammate George Byers. Adams ended his career by winning a Big Eight conference indoor championship in the 60-yard hurdles and running on an NCAA record setting 480-yard shuttle hurdle relay team.
