Angela Aycock
Angela Aycock had her No. 12 Kansas jersey retired on Feb. 3, 2003. Some of her accolades include 1995 Kodak All-American, 1995 second team Associated Press All-American, 1994 Big Eight Conference co-Player of the Year, first team All-Big Eight (1993, 94, 95) and she was named Big Eight Player of the Week six times in her career. Aycock was a starter on the U.S. Junior World Championship Team (1992) and was voted Most Valuable Player in the Big Eight Conference Tournament (1993). In addition, she was named honorable mention All-Big Eight Conference in 1992. She rounded out her career with three seasons in the WNBA and overseas before giving up basketball in 2002 to devote her life to the Church.
