Emmett Edwards
Few experience the success in two sports in which Emmitt Edwards did, both on the track and on the football field. Edwards teamed with Mark Lutz, Eddie Lewis, and Tom Scavuzzo to win the 440-yard relay at the 1974 NCAA Outdoor Championships. His talents stretched to the football field where he was the leading receiver during the 1973 and 1974 season. His 111 career catches currently ranks him 7th on the Kansas career-receiving list. Following his stay at Kansas, Edwards went on to play two seasons in the NFL for the Houston Oilers and Buffalo Bills.
